I’m obsessed with the side-eye, the stink-eye, the admiring eye. A single tattoo. A tattoo sleeve. A roomful of women, all talking excitedly over one another. A roomful of men riffing about college or school days or a sporting moment that seemingly changed everything. Watching the indifferent shrug of a tween. Or a mom’s sigh, as if to say, “well, good enough”.
I’m equally obsessed with the data, siting behavior that is happening now, and importantly, discovering signals of where we are heading. Our digital fingerprints give us the what, but the WHY gets us to connection and trust – and that is the path that leads to the future and toward innovation. And if we are listening carefully, where change lives.

I’ve had such fortune to spend a career navigating behavior and the cultural tides, building strategy and collaborating on creative direction for over 30 years across an array of sectors. For the past decade, I got to turn all that passion on HIGH by creating and building The Consumer Insights & Culture Lab, working across the portfolio at Discovery, Inc. Men, women, kids, factual content, scripted, adventure, crime, science, food, home, Americana, youtubers, travel…you name it. We swam in it. Learning to understand what pulls us toward content and getting to wake up every day to creatively tackle the question: WHY?
